Mandatory documents:
– Passport with a minimum validity of 6 months.
– Travel and health insurance.
– Emergency contact number.
Other essential items:
– Blood group and allergy cards.
– Prescription for any or specific drug.
– International driver’s license (optional).
– Backup photo ID and important scans and documents in Dropbox (optional).
– Credit card and some cash.
Clothes:
Lightweight long-sleeved trekking shirt, cotton long-sleeved shirt, windproof jacket, waterproof trekking pants,
dry tops and trousers, rain jackets, pants and rain gloves.
Shoe:
Light trekking shoes, light walking shoes, hiking socks and poles.
Health:
– Complete first aid kit, water purification tablets or drops, iodine pills, diarrhea stopper-Imodium,
– Other drugs such as Antibiotics-Ciprofloxacin, moleskin (for blisters), insect repellant, sun protection lotion,
rehydration solution sachets, antiseptic cream, lip balm, antihistamines (bites, allergic reactions),
Ibuprofen (anti-inflammatory, pain reliever), and several others.
Personal items:
Water bottles, energy snacks quick-drying towels, toiletries, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, biological soaps, shampoo, sunhat, sun glasses, earplugs, maps and feminine items.
Electronic:
Mobile phone, MP3, earphone, spare battery, power bank, camera, video, additional memory card, binoculars, compass, headlamp and flashlight with good resistance, personal locator beacon (PLB).
Little things:
Cloth ropes and hooks, books, notes and pens.
Bag:
Backpacks and plastic bags.
